It’s all about Frank. Frank the bunny. Knowing what a cult following this movie has, and for hose yet to see it. I don’t want to say too much. Donnie Darko’ is a brilliantly dark, beautiful, clever film that has clearly been thought through again and again and again. Not necessarily horror but will leave you breathless whether you’re a fan of the genre or not. Whether he’s a bunny, imaginary friend, ghost, time traveler or all of the above. I’m pretty sure Donnie was pleased he met Frank on Life is better with coffee cats and books shirt of October. My favorite movies. It is easily one of the scariest. Not particularly bloody, no special effects. This horror film plays on realism and the audience’s ability to relate to the main characters.

Early on you realize that terrifying things are not monstrous or paranormal, but instead that us humans can cause far worse evil. I hate Life is better with coffee cats and books shirt with happy endings, this film doesn’t disappoint. It’ll leave you feeling cold – numb even – and almost certainly begging for more. I’m not a huge fan of the found-footage movies, but ‘Hell House’ isn’t half bad. A group of friends hire out an old, supposedly haunted hotel to host a walk-through Halloween attraction. Around a week before opening, the clowns they use as props start appearing all over the place and honestly I wanted to cover my eyes in parts – they really are things nightmares are made of. There are no special effects, no gore.

Hell, House is just a creepy, well thought out, budget movie but unlike others of its kind, actually scared the crap out of me. It was hard not to compare ‘Intensity’ to one of my favorite movies, ‘Switchblade Romance’, which French director, Alexandre Aja intentionally copied. This being said, and perhaps skip a hundred pages or so, and you have yourself Life is better with coffee cats and books shirt that’s pretty bloody good. World cinema at it’s absolute finest, ‘I Saw the Devil’ is gripping and utterly savage. Not your average revenge movie, this little gem unfolds one of the vilest scenes in cinematic history – if you’ve seen it, you know the scene I’m referring to. Definitely one to watch if you don’t mind subtitles.
